On Friday, we were all prepped and ready to film at Gosfield Hall, a stunning Georgian palace located in Essex. It was an absolute delight to work alongside the NAOMI BARKER Photography and her team, and we knew it was going to be a great day. We were excited to meet Ellen and Sam, the happy couple, and to capture their love story on camera. As soon as we arrived at the venue one we have been to before, we knew we were in for a treat. Gosfield Hall was absolutely breathtaking, with its grand architecture and lush gardens. The bridal party was already getting ready, and we quickly got to work filming all the preparations. The morning was filled with laughter and excitement, as the bridesmaids helped Ellen get ready for her big day.
As the wedding ceremony drew near, we got our cameras ready to capture every moment. It was a beautiful ceremony, with Ellen and Sam exchanging vows and rings. And, when it came time for the rings, we were delighted to see their big, beautiful dog, Rocco, all suited up and ready for his big walk down the aisle. He stole the show, and everyone loved him! After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed drinks and dancing until late into the night. We lit some sparklers to round off the night, and it was a magical way to celebrate the start of our 2023 wedding season.
However, we didn't have much time to rest, as we had to get ready for our second wedding on Saturday, which was located in the Midlands. We quickly headed back home to prepare for the long drive ahead. Overall, Friday was a fun-filled day, and we were happy to have started the wedding season on such a high note. The beauty of Gosfield Hall, the laughter, and Rocco's walk down the aisle were just a few highlights of an unforgettable day.
On a beautiful Saturday morning, arriving just before 10 am, it was time for a costume change and to meet Jess and her bridal party as they started to get ready for the magical day ahead. As a wedding videographer, I had seen many brides prepare for their big day, but the excitement and anticipation in the room was palpable. Jess had planned an amazing opportunity for everyone during prep to stop and have a light lunch. This was a first for me, and something I will be recommending to all going forward. It gave everyone the chance to wish Jess well and take a moment to celebrate the day that was ahead.
With Jess now in her dress, we had a nice moment with her family and bridal party, and then it was off to the church. the stunning St James Church in Chipping Campden was a wool church dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Its stunning architecture and intricate details provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we headed back to the Cidre Mill Barns for the party to truly start. Jess and Jack, now married, stood at the opening to the venue to say hello and thanks to every guest as they arrived. The energy in the room was electric, and everyone was ready to celebrate the happy couple.
The speeches followed, and there was not a dry eye in the house. Even I was crying at points, trying to hide it from view. The love and support that filled the room was overwhelming, and it was clear that Jess and Jack were surrounded by a community that truly cared for them. Just as the last dessert was handed out, in come the surprise singing waiters with a saxophone! It was a moment that nobody expected, and it was the perfect way to kick off the party. The night started early as the vibe from the singing waiters carried us right through.
Leaving them dancing the night away in the early hours, it was time for home and a quick sleep before our wedding show on Sunday. It was a day that I would never forget, and I felt so grateful to have been a part of it. Jess and Jack's wedding was a true celebration of love, family, and community, and it was an honor to witness it all.
Up early on Sunday and all packed, we headed to Gillingham to set up for our wedding showcase. Meeting several amazing newly engaged couples, planning their weddings, and showing them our amazing work was a fantastic way to end out the first of our weddings this year. By the end of Sunday, we had four new couples to film and a wedding in Spain to plan for. It was a busy weekend, but it was a weekend filled with love, joy, and celebration.
