This past weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of showcasing BLOC Pictures at The Northern Wedding Show, hosted by the incredible team at Belle Bridal Magazine—and it’s safe to say, it was nothing short of magical!
Held at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, the show brought together hundreds of couples, suppliers, and creatives from across the region for two full days of wedding inspiration, excitement, and unforgettable moments. From the moment the doors opened, the buzz in the air was electric. We were surrounded by couples excited to chat, share their plans, and soak in everything the show had to offer—and we loved every minute of it.
As a wedding videographer, events like this are a dream. They give us a real chance to connect with couples face-to-face, hear your ideas, and talk through your vision for your big day. It’s so much more than just handing out business cards—it’s about making a real connection, and helping you feel confident that the people capturing your day truly understand what it means to you.
The show itself was bursting with creativity and talent. From incredible live singers filling the space with soulful soundtracks, to musicians serenading the crowd, and even magicians weaving through the aisles creating moments of pure wonder, there was inspiration quite literally everywhere you looked including the floral beauty of some magical florists
Of course, one of the highlights for everyone was the catwalk—and wow, what a show it was! Belle Bridal always knows how to put on a spectacle, and this year’s runway was a gorgeous display of bridal fashion, with elegant gowns, bold designs, and stylish suits gliding down the runway to a soundtrack that had everyone dancing. It was a reminder that your wedding is a chance to express your personality, your story, and your style—and the catwalk captured that beautifully.
Back at the stand, I had the chance to meet so many incredible couples—some just starting their wedding planning journey, others putting the final touches on their big day. I always say your wedding film should be as unique as you are, and hearing your stories, from surprise proposals to beachside engagements and Disney-inspired dreams, was the kind of magic that fuels my passion for what I do.
These wedding shows are so valuable when you’re planning your day. It’s a one-stop shop to get inspired, meet potential suppliers, and see first-hand how people work. You can ask questions, see real samples, and more importantly—feel who you connect with. Because when it comes to wedding videography, it’s not just about having a camera—it’s about having someone you trust by your side, capturing your most emotional, exciting, and joyful moments.
